Cheatham Memorial UMC invites you to worship at 10:00 am, Sunday March 20. This is Palm Sunday with branches, special music and children!
We also have the solemn joy of praying for General Conference with all of our Texas Annual Conference Methodists. Our prayer ministry has provided three ways to participate:
  1. We have a prayer “clock” which we sign up for 30-minute time slots to pray, If you don’t sign up, please be in a spirit of prayer on Sunday
  2. We will pray together in a special part of our 10 AM service
  3. From 2-4PM on Sunday afternoon, the sanctuary will be open with prayer stations. You may pray around the stations or pray in your own way.
Below is the prayer that we will be sharing.

Dear Precious Heavenly Father,
You are the God of grace and mercy. We love you and praise your Holy Name. We humble ourselves before you this day to seek godly wisdom, anointing of the Holy Spirit and God’s favor as we stand in the gap for our church, our nation and for the General Conference of the United Methodist Church.

We pray for a spirit of unity and that Biblical truth will prevail. Sanctify each delegate with your truth and your perfect will. In Jesus name we bind the spirit of dissension and division and pray for an outpouring of you Holy Spirit. Let Christ-like character be in their hearts and Godly wisdom be displayed in their words and actions.

Let rivers of living water flow out of General Conference and ripple down to each Methodist Church. We affirm that Jesus is the fountain of living water, the source of truth, spiritual refreshment and renewal. Bring clarity of purpose and bind us together for your glory.

May all honor and glory be yours, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
See you this Sunday!
