Prayer Ministry
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cheatham’s Prayer Ministry is recognized as one of the church’s oldest and strongest ministries.\u00a0 Prayer meetings have been called since the beginning of the church more than a century ago. Today, the ministry gathers weekly and chooses prayer focuses to be shared with the congregation.<\/p>\n

The Prayer Ministry prepares for National Day of Prayer, goes to Edgewood school complex for a back-to-school Prayer Walk, and with the Outreach Ministry blesses the prayer shawls, anoints Pocket Prayer Quilts, and many more activities.<\/p>\n

During the church expansion project in 1999-2000, prayers and scriptures were written on the 2×4 studs by Prayer Ministry and Covenant Groups.\u00a0 Now, as we walk down the hallway, gather in Fellowship Hall, or move about in the Children’s Wing, God’s words are literally upon us.\u00a0 Hundreds of scriptures are inscribed on the wall studs, blessing us from behind the drywall.<\/p>\n
